Our Next President 2 comments
I’m a sucker for politics, especially when someone worth following comes along. There is something within my system that pulls me to politics in the same way I am pulled to philosophical study. I have to say that this year has been an exciting year for American politics. We now have a candidate we can believe in. Obama holds a compassionate and beautiful belief system, something that every Buddhist, even this cranky one, can appreciate.
People keep talking about a new generation of politics, for a new and younger generation of people. Obama is my age, three years younger than I, and I realized last night that it was our generation who had the dream of a fair and compassionate political system.
If you are on the fence about who you might vote for this fall for the office of President, please watch Obama’s acceptance speech from last night. Heck go to youtube and watch any of his speeches in the BarackObama Channel!
A Little Change Yes We Can … no comments
I haven’t made my mind up yet. That’s not what this post is about. It’s just about a speech, no a song. It’s really both. This post is about the beauty that politics can be, or maybe should be.
